About the Role
This position is a vital part of the Heroes and Sidekicks partnership between Gulf Coast ABLE and Community Life Church's Encircle Ministry. This ministry is designed to support teenagers and adults with disabilities. The Sidekick will rotate between two positions for at least 2 Sundays a month: Safety works from 10:00 am -12:00 pm to take attendance, assign volunteers to high-need participants, and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Interventionist works from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and rides the bus for pick-up and drop-off and supports participants upon arrival at Encircle.
Requirements
Must be 18 and pass a Florida background check. Requires frequent Sunday committment and occasional weeknight work.
Experience with the special needs population is preferred.
Commit to 2 Sundays a month.
